These terms govern your use of 星网 / Project N (the “Service”). By registering or using it you accept them.
1. The Service
We provide VPS / host instances with dedicated residential egress IPs (network and data infrastructure). Specs, bandwidth, rate limits, connections, and quota depend on your chosen plan.
Please understand these service characteristics before ordering:
- Key-only login: instances accept SSH public-key authentication only; the root password is locked and password login is not offered. You are responsible for safeguarding your private key. We do not hold and cannot recover your private key or the data inside your instance. If you lose the key you can replace the public key yourself from the console (while the instance is running) — this does not recover lost data.
- Outbound port 25 is blocked by default (standard anti-spam practice). Use a third-party mail service on submission ports such as 587/465 if you need to send mail.
- The IP is “pseudo-static”, not a contractually guaranteed static IP: residential lines are assigned by the ISP over DHCP. We pin a fixed MAC to keep the address stable, and in practice it persists — but this isnot a commitment to any particular address. See section 5 for how reinstall and cancellation affect the IP.
2. Accounts
- Provide true, accurate registration info; keep credentials secret; you are responsible for all activity under your account.
- Higher tiers / large orders may require identity or entity verification (KYC/KYB) before activation.
3. Acceptable use
Your use must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy. Violating the AUP violates these terms and may lead to suspension or termination.
4. Billing, renewal & refunds
Billing & renewal
- Fees are prepaid per plan and cycle; renewal is required to continue.
- Overdue accounts enter a grace period, then suspension; long-unpaid accounts are terminated and resources reclaimed.
- Traffic allowances are small and hard-capped: dedicated can top up with non-expiring traffic packs, shared upgrades to dedicated.
Refunds
- New-customer trial guarantee: a full refund is available within 7 days of your first subscription, provided traffic used is under 20% of the plan allowance — so you can try it with confidence.
- Non-refundable: after 7 days or over 20% traffic used (your dedicated IP is now in service and needs a cleanliness cooldown); traffic packs and the CN2 add-on (consumable / real line cost); renewals (the guarantee applies to the first subscription only); termination caused by your breach of these terms / the AUP; promo / discounted / annual terms per the order page.
- Method: refunded to the original payment method; crypto payments are refunded as equivalent store credit to avoid FX volatility and on-chain irreversibility.
- Contact us first: opening a chargeback instead of requesting a refund is treated as a violation — no refund and service is terminated.
- Enterprise / large orders may have custom terms.
5. Cancellation, suspension & termination
- Cancel anytime — it's a subscription, no lock-in. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period (paid fees are not prorated).
- On cancellation / termination, your dedicated IP is released back to the pool — it enters a cleanliness cooldown and may be reassigned to another customer; you do not keep the IP, and the instance and its data are destroyed.
- ⚠️ If your accounts or workflows are bound to the IP, migrate before you cancel — the IP is no longer yours afterwards and cannot be recovered.
- ⚠️ Reinstalling the OS will change your IP. Residential lines assign addresses over DHCP, so rebuilding an instance usually results in a different address even though we preserve the original NIC MAC. In short:reinstall = new IP. If your accounts or workflows are bound to the current address, do not reinstall — contact us first. (A minority of statically-configured lines are unaffected; ask us, or check the console, to see which applies to your instance.)
- We may suspend or terminate for violations, non-payment, or security/legal risk.
6. Availability & disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is”. We strive for high availability (out-of-band management + power-loss auto-restart, and we re-provision or migrate you on hardware/line failure), but we do not currently offer a formal uptime SLA with service credits — the underlying network includes residential ISP lines, which can have occasional outages. We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free operation or fitness for your particular purpose. Third-party network/platform policy changes are outside our control. IP reputation changes with use; we work to keep IPs clean and will replace yours when needed, but do not guarantee the ongoing reputation of any specific IP.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages; our total liability is limited to the fees you actually paid for the relevant service in a defined period before the claim.
8. Changes & governing law
These terms may be updated and posted here. Governing law and venue are those of the operating entity’s jurisdiction (stated in the final terms).
